A personalized Christmas gift: give a story, not another object
Under the tree, presents start to look alike: a sweater, a perfume, a gift box. The one people remember is the parcel they open in silence because they recognize themselves in it. A LoomyBook personalized Christmas gift is your story with the person receiving it, redrawn page after page from two photos. This guide helps you choose who it is for, which style to pick and, above all, when to order.

Why an illustrated book stands apart at Christmas
Christmas is the one holiday when we give to many people at once, often in a hurry. So we shop by category. An illustrated book reverses that logic. You don't start from a shop aisle, you start from a memory: how your parents met, summers at your grandmother's, the flat you shared with your best friend.
That memory becomes a real narrative, with a beginning, chapters and a last page. The two characters carry the features of the people in the photos, drawn in the style you chose. On Christmas Eve, this gift doesn't end up on the pile: it gets read aloud and passed around the table.
And it lasts. A book doesn't burn down like a candle or run out like a tea set. It comes back out next year, and the year after that.
Who is it for? A guide by recipient
- ✦ Your partner: the story from the day you met to this Christmas. Our most requested gift.
- ✦ Your parents: their own story, the one from before you were born that you only half know. A gift siblings can share.
- ✦ Your grandparents: either the couple and their decades together, or a grandmother or grandfather with a grandchild. Two heroes, never the whole clan.
- ✦ Your best friend: years of friendship, the laughter, the trips, the secrets. Ideal at a distance, in digital form.
Each recipient has a dedicated page below, with scene ideas and tips for gathering photos without raising suspicion.

Which style for an illustrated Christmas
The six styles in our catalog each tell Christmas their own way:
- ✦ Watercolor: winter light, diluted snow, soft tones. The safe choice for a mother or grandparents.
- ✦ Vintage: the look of 1950s greeting cards, warm and nostalgic.
- ✦ Manga: in Japan, Christmas is a holiday for couples, and manga has turned it into iconic scenes under the lights.
- ✦ Film noir: the black and white of classic Christmas films, a city under snow at night.
- ✦ American Modern: bold reds and greens, the energy of a comic book special issue.
- ✦ 3D animation: the look of a holiday animated film. Children recognize themselves instantly.
The Christmas calendar: when to order
The real timings, step by step
- Book creation: about 2 hours after your order (24 hours at most during high demand).
- Your review: you have 48 hours to read and approve it. Approving quickly saves time.
- Printing and delivery: 5 to 7 days after your approval.
That is 7 to 10 days in total. For the printed edition, order by December 12 at the latest. Earlier is better: carriers are overloaded in December.
Too late for print? The gift card
If December 12 has passed, or if you'd rather let the person tell their own story, the LoomyBook gift card solves it. Choose the edition (digital, Signature or Prestige), add a message, and the card is emailed as soon as you pay. All that's left is to print it or slip it into an envelope.
The recipient creates their book whenever they like, within a year. It's also the right option when you can't get hold of the photos: you give the story, they provide the pictures.
